Lillian Receives Justice After Acid Attack
CERESAV is pleased to share an important update on Lillian’s journey toward healing and justice.
Lillian, an acid attack survivor, has been supported by CERESAV through medical care at Kiruddu National Referral Hospital, psychosocial support, and legal advocacy. We are grateful to share that the perpetrator responsible for the attack has been sentenced to **20 years in prison by the Lugazi Magistrate’s Court in Uganda**.
The verdict has brought Lillian a renewed sense of hope and safety. Knowing that the person who harmed her has been held accountable has strengthened her determination to continue healing and rebuilding her life.
